About

About Me

I am a psychotherapist and registered social worker In London Ontario with a particular interest in working with adults, families and organizations impacted by difficult or traumatic events. After spending many years working on the front lines with children, adults, and first responders , I've discovered that healing from difficult experiences often requires a blend of patience, self-compassion, and frequently assistance of others. I have also come to believe that as trauma can affect us emotionally and physically and our bodies hold onto these experiences in different ways, we cannot solely rely on one treatment approach to heal from trauma.

Approach

My approach to working with clients involves a combination of traditional talk therapy, EMDR, and expressive and somatic techniques tailored to meet each person's unique needs and goals. I understand that the idea of accessing therapy can be scary to some and strive to make therapy feel less threatening by creating a safe and comfortable space. You may find that our sessions feel more like a friendly conversation where we tackle difficult "stuff" using the tools I have, but always try to leave sessions feeling a bit lighter and more grounded.
