Trauma & Deep Healing

A place to make sense of difficult experiences

Trauma & Deep Healing

A single event or a long series of difficult experiences can affect how you feel, connect, and respond now. You can begin with what is happening today, without having to tell everything at once.

  • In person in London or virtually across Ontario
  • Pacing and choice guide the work

Effects can show up in different ways

There is no single trauma story or expected response.

  • You may feel on edge, shut down, or disconnected at times.
  • Relationships, sleep, or concentration may feel different.
  • A reminder of the past may bring a strong body response.
  • You may want to understand patterns without knowing where to begin.

Support begins with safety and choice

The work can include understanding present-day patterns, strengthening regulation, and finding steadier ways to respond. If deeper processing is clinically appropriate, you and Paulina can consider options at a pace that fits. The existing Trauma Therapy, EMDR Therapy, and DBR Therapy pages explain those approaches in more detail.

How therapy works here

Paulina takes a relational, whole-person, evidence-informed approach. EMDR has an established evidence base for PTSD; Deep Brain Reorienting is a newer approach with a developing research base. Neither method is presumed to be right for everyone.
