Support for different seasons of life

Adults & Teens

Anxiety, grief, low mood, relationships, and change can make daily life feel harder. Counselling offers adults and teens a place to understand what is happening and work toward goals that matter to them.

For adults

Support may be useful when work, caregiving, relationships, loss, or a life transition leaves you overwhelmed, shut down, or unsure what comes next.

  • Anxiety or low mood is taking up more space.
  • Grief or change is affecting daily routines.
  • You want to understand relationship patterns and reconnect with yourself.

For teens

Adolescents may be navigating school pressure, identity, friendships, family changes, grief, or emotional overwhelm. Therapy should respect their growing independence and speak to the concerns that matter to them, without treating them like young children.

A plan shaped around the person

Paulina works collaboratively and may draw on relational, practical, and evidence-informed approaches. The first step is to understand the person’s needs and goals; no single method is assumed to fit everyone.

How to begin

Choose an appointment

Jane shows available London in-person and Ontario virtual options.

Talk about the concern

The first meeting covers what prompted you to seek support and what you hope may change.

Agree on next steps

Goals and approach are shaped together. For teens, family involvement and privacy are discussed according to age, circumstances, consent, and applicable law.

Common questions

Can a teen book therapy?

Contact the practice to discuss the appropriate booking and consent process for the teen’s age and situation.

Will a parent be told everything a teen says?

Privacy and parent involvement depend on the teen’s circumstances, capacity, consent, and legal obligations. These boundaries should be explained at the start.

Do I need to choose a therapy method first?

No. Begin with your concerns and goals; treatment options can be discussed together.

Are virtual sessions available?

Virtual appointments are offered across Ontario.
